Why has the congress been transformed into a digital event?
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic and the fact that our Congress venue, ExCel London was converted into a makeshift hospital, EAACI decided to deliver the Annual Congress 2020 as a digital event. EAACI’s main concern is to protect the health, safety and well-being of its members, delegates, faculty, exhibitors and staff. During these difficult and challenging times, a digital Congress is the best way to bring the EAACI community together and to grant everyone flexibility in accessing the scientific content, while complying with health recommendations.

When will the EAACI Digital Congress take place?
The EAACI Digital Congress will take place from 6 to 8 of June 2020.

All the sessions indicated on our programme will be based on Central European Time (CET).

Do I need any specific tools or software to attend the EAACI Digital Congress 2020?
No, you do not need any specific tool or software to attend the EAACI Digital Congress. You can use your personal computer, tablet or mobile device. The digital congress can be viewed on any browser, but it is strongly recommended to use the most updated version of Google Chrome for a better user experience.
Please make sure to have the most updated version of the browser Safari for a better Congres experience.

My internet connection is not excellent, will this affect my participation?
Your internet connection will not affect your participation in the EAACI Digital Congress 2020. Nonetheless, we encourage you to secure a stable connection to have a glitch-free experience.

Congress registration

How much does the new Digital Congress cost and how do I register?

Besides full access to the Digital Congress content, including plenary talks, symposia, industry symposia, oral and poster presentations – you will also benefit from access to these resources for 6 months after the event.

1 To benefit from the EAACI Member fee, please pay your membership fee prior to registration as you will need to indicate your membership number in the online registration form.

2 To benefit from the EAACI new Member fee, you need to have become an EAACI member between 24 April and 8 June 2020. Please pay your membership fee prior to registration as you will need to indicate your membership number in the online registration form. This does not apply for EAACI Dual NAS members.

I have already registered for the EAACI Congress 2020 London.
Is my registration still valid for EAACI Digital Congress 2020?
Your active registration is automatically transferred to the EAACI Digital Congress 2020, where you will benefit from the following:

• Full access to the Congress content including plenary talks, symposia, workshops, industry symposia, oral and poster presentations during the Congress and for 6 months after the event.
• As the regular price for the registration to the EAACI Digital Congress 2020 is less expensive, you will receive a voucher for the price difference. You will be able to use this voucher for any EAACI event or activity until the end of 2022*.
• No administration fee will apply for this change.

I have requested a refund before the cancellation deadline (April 6, 2020), what is the process?
If we received your cancellation request before April 6, 2020, you can benefit from a refund of your registration fee. Please note that a handling fee of EUR 75 will be charged, as per the registration terms and conditions

We would like to offer you the possibility to keep your registration active and benefit from the following:

• Full access to the Congress content including plenary talks, symposia, workshops, industry symposia, oral and poster presentations during the Congress and for 6 months after the event.

How and when will I receive my voucher?
You will automatically receive an email including your voucher code and value from the EAACI Registration Team. This voucher can be used for any EAACI events or activities until the end of 2022.

I have registered for the EAACI Congress 2020 London, but I do not wish to attend the Digital Congress.
I did not request a refund before the cancellation deadline (April 6, 2020).
Please understand that EAACI is a not-for-profit scientific society. EAACI has sustained a significant financial loss through the change of the Congress format. As per the registration terms and conditions, we are unfortunately unable to refund you the registration fee. You will be registered to the digital congress and receive a voucher for the remaining value.

I cannot attend the EAACI Digital Congress from June 6 to 8, 2020. Can I still sign in and access the content after these dates?
If you are registered to EAACI Digital Congress 2020, you can access all the recorded materials for a period of 6 months after the Congress. All industry recorded materials are free of charge to access on the platform after the congress.

Admission: how do I join the virtual congress?
After online registration, you will receive personal access details to access the Digital Congress Platform. These access details are strictly personal and cannot be given to any other person. We will identify all access details on our platform. Please note that, during the registration procedure, each participant accepts our terms and conditions in accordance with GDPR.

Certificates

Will a certificate of attendance be available?
Within 2 weeks after the digital congress, participants will receive an email with a congress survey and be able to download their congress attendance certificates.

Will UEMS/EAACME credits be available?
The EAACI Digital Congress 2020, 06-08 June 2020 has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 22 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity. Within 2 weeks after the digital congress, participants will receive an email with the congress survey. After completion of the survey which is mandatory to receive CME credits, participants will be able to download UEMS/EACCME congress certificates based on their actual virtual attendance from 6 to 8 June 2020.

Transportation and Hotels

What steps should I take to get reimbursed for the costs related to my travel/accommodation?
Attendees are responsible for their travel expenses. For hotel accommodation please contact the agency or hotel to cancel your booking and check the cancellation conditions. For your airline travel, contact your airline directly and if you have taken travel insurance, contact your provider for information about the cancellation procedure. If you have travel insurance, please contact your agent. Depending on your credit card, you may be covered by travel interruption insurance.

I am an invited member of faculty. Will EAACI cancel my flights and hotels or should I do it myself?
If EAACI reserved your flight and/or hotel, we will cancel these on your behalf. No action is required on your part. If you booked your flight and/or hotel yourself, please contact your airline and booking agent directly.
